Today, I am participating in Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is “Characters that Remind Me of Myself.”
- Hermione Granger from Harry Potter – totally nerdy and bossy but with a true love for books (and some people).
- Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice – not the handsomest of the sisters but fairly well read and cerebral (I wish I had her way with words, though).
- Anna Fox from Woman in the Window – content to drink all the wine and never leave the house. YUP.
- Clara from Lonesome Dove – strong and reliable and doesn’t mince words.
- Stephanie Plum – pretty clumsy but determined to do the right thing; loves junk food and having a good time and can be one kick ass chick when she wants to be.
- Ramona Quimby – tomboy and awkward – weren’t we all at that age?
- Lucy Pevensie, from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe – I am the youngest of three and totally identified with her feeling like no one takes her seriously.
- Billy from Where the Red Fern Grows – In him, I see my love of dogs and the outdoors and not all the characters have to be girls, right?
- Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables – this one might be a bit more aspirational, I wish I had her creative and daydreaming abilities. I feel like I am more on the serious side.
- Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games – resourceful and freaking tough.
Aww, Lucy is such a good choice.
My TTT.
I’ve seen a lot of Hermione and Elizabeth Bennet, so you’re definitely not alone in those! So interesting that you identify with Lucy. I know that feeling, too, also being the youngest of three. xD It’s a burden all of us youngest siblings have to bear.
Here’s my TTT post.
Love your list. I should’ve totally put a clumsy character on mine because I am soooooo clumsy!

I chose Hermoine and Elizabeth, too. If I had thought of Katniss, she would have made my list, too. Great picks!
I just watched Lonesome Dove for the first time ever – going to have to read the book! 🙂
Lauren @ Always Me
Anna from woman in the Window- I agree! I remember as I was reading that I thought several times- yeah give me a glass of wine and an old movie, or a good book, and I’m good haha! And Katniss- awesome. 🙂
I love the kids from the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe too. Lucy was awesome!
Love the Anna Fox one !! Wine for the win!
I love your choices. I’m pretty sure I’m not sacrificial enough to be Katniss.
Thanks! Me either!! Just feel like I maybe have some of her toughness….
