Slice of Life is a regular update on the latest in my life. This is where I write about my books, movies, tv, food, fashion, family or whatever subjects are on my mind this week. It’s just a little glimpse of my slice. (“But what about the great deals on books?!” Just keep on scrollin’.)

- We signed up for and then canceled Disney+ awhile back because we were not impressed with the content (this is not including The Mandalorian, we LOVED that show). Since then, they have added some pretty interesting shows and new movies and add to that the much-anticipated Hamilton movie (new trailer here), we may be signing up again.
- I literally stumbled upon this recipe for chocolate banana bread on Pinterest and it is now a family favorite. Pretty sure I am officially the last person in the world to discover the deliciousness that is the combo of chocolate with banana.
- Gut health is something we focus on at our house. This has recently become my favorite post dinner treat (sometimes with a side of dark chocolate). I sometimes even make a DIY version by steeping a bit of peeled and sliced ginger and a small sliver of lemon in hot water.
- I could not be more excited and happy to hear this news.
- We are taking a few days off for some relaxation and fun in the sun over the next week, and I am taking off from posting on the blog as well. I hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Amazing Book Deals
Whether I have read (and loved) it, heard about it from fellow bookish friends or actually have it on my own “to be read” list, each book below made this list because it’s on my radar (AND because it’s on sale). Note: Book bargains are subject to change so act fast!
NOTE: My weekly book deals list will soon be moved out of “Slice of Life” and onto to its own page on my site. The new book deals page will be updated (and emailed to my mailing list) on a weekly basis.
