Slice of Life: Weekly Book Deals, Links and Tidbits

Reaching for delicious pizza

Slice of Life is a regular update on the latest in my life. This is where I write about my books, movies, tv, food, fashion, family or whatever subjects are on my mind this week. It’s just a little glimpse of my slice. (“But what about the great deals on books?!” Just keep on scrollin’.)

  • Check this out if you have a struggling reader (in K-2nd grade).
  • This sounds like pure heaven.
  • These bad reviews of classic books are hysterical (even if the language IS a little bit salty.)
  • I went down the internet rabbit hole recently looking for a particular movie (that I could not remember the name of) and found this awesome list of remakes in the works.
  • We have been watching this as a family the past few days as a supplement to our history curriculum, and the whole family is really enjoying it.
  • I am wrapping up my first full week as a homeschooler, and I have three words for you: This. Is. Hard. That said, I think it is the right path for my family, and I am loving all the opportunities to shape my kids education. Not many things worth doing or having are easy, right?

Amazing Book Deals

Whether I have read (and loved) it, heard about it from fellow bookish friends or actually have it on my own “to be read” list, each book below made this list because it’s on my radar (AND because it’s on sale). Note: Book bargains are subject to change so act fast!

NOTE: My weekly book deals list will soon be moved out of “Slice of Life” and onto to its own page on my site. The new book deals page will be updated (and emailed to my mailing list) on a weekly basis.
