Slice of Life is a regular update on the latest in my life. This is where I write about my books, movies, tv, food, fashion, family or whatever subjects are on my mind this week. It’s just a little glimpse of my slice. (“But what about the great deals on books?!” Just keep on scrollin’.)

- Super happy that Fall is almost upon us (bring on the pumpkins!), and this really makes me want to re-read The Shining.
- This Japanese mama and her kid food art is amazing.
- Love this precious little one spreading kindness (we all could use some right now)!
- Our first couple weeks of homeschooling has been rough, but we are slowly but surely getting into a rhythm. This is thankfully making each day a little easier than the one before and helping me feel like we are on more of a sustainable pace. I have not had much time for blog writing so far (case in point: I missed getting this post out last week), but here’s hoping that will change as we adapt to our new schedule. In the meantime, come visit me on Instagram!
- I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. We have a few house projects we plan on tackling plus we are excited to celebrate my mom’s birthday (the boys and I are planning on making this cake).

Amazing Book Deals
Whether I have read (and loved) it, heard about it from fellow bookish friends or actually have it on my own “to be read” list, each book below made this list because it’s on my radar (AND because it’s on sale). Note: Book bargains are subject to change so act fast!
NOTE: My weekly book deals list will soon be moved out of “Slice of Life” and onto to its own page on my site. The new book deals page will be updated (and emailed to my mailing list) on a weekly basis.
