Slice of Life is a regular update on the latest in my life. This is where I write about my books, movies, tv, food, fashion, family or whatever subjects are on my mind that week. It’s just a little glimpse of my slice.

  • I recently got to write a piece for She Reads: 12 Books like To Kill a Mockingbird. Are there any you would add to this list?
  • I have been hearing really good things about The Outsider on HBO. The book was so creepy good (the audio with Will Patton is stellar), and I am currently plotting to figure out how I am going to watch it since I do not have HBO.
  • Move over hygge, koselig is the new winter term for cozy, happy living.
  • The New York City Public Library recently calculated its most checked-out books of all time.
  • Even though I am more of a mood reader and don’t really follow too many reading guides, I love this creative and different approach to a 2020 book challenge.
  • I am working on my most anticipated new books of 2020 list (coming out next week), but until then here and here are a couple lists to tide you over.
  • We watched the National Championship game and even let the boys stay up until half time. It was a fun game, but I am sad that College Football has come to a close until Fall.
  • Weekend reading: The Secrets We Kept
